I have lived my whole life on the outside wanting to be in, not understanding the process. When I was six, Jesus became my best friend. He has stood by me, carried me, and held my hand as He has taught me about what it truly means to be included.
In Galatians 3:28, we find real evidence of inclusion in Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27
Regardless of the size or shape of our individual puzzle pieces, we fit into the bigger picture of ministry through Jesus Christ. He has a plan and a purpose for me.
Romans 15:7, Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
Having eyes to see, unique wiring, and Christ as my counselor has given me a responsibility to see others as he does.
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Philippians 2:3-4 is one of my most trusted verses in all of God's powerful passages.
Because my wiring is not like yours and I don't understand about friendship relationships, I have been broken over and over as I have stood on the outside watching, wishing, but God teaches clearly within my spirit that the purpose and the plan for my life is not theirs.
To be included is something we are created for. When it doesn't happen in the way we see it happening around us in the world, it can become problematic if we set our eyes on something that was not intended for us. Be teachable. Sit at the Father's feet and learn.
I want to interject that I do have sweet encouragers who God has allowed me to have in my life, despite my living behind the mask of Asperger's for my journey here.
I am included in the Eternal family of Christ Jesus. The all-inclusive trip! I pray that you have a steadfast relationship, like I do, that carries you through each day with gratitude.
For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:16-17
He holds me together!
Romans 3:33, For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. I admit this.
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” My promise, yours, too.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 I accept this.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 I believe this.
John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. I trust this!

Being "included in Christ" means that we are united with Jesus in a spiritual sense. This union brings us/believers into a relationship with Him where:
-
His righteousness is credited to us.
-
His death counts as our death to sin.
-
His resurrection becomes our hope for eternal life.
True inclusion is not of this world's understanding. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9.
If you made it to this point...thank you!
