Candy & Sin ...

Today, I was buying "snacks" for High Plains Concrete for our employees at United Supermarket (shop local). I threw in a bag of candy just to add some chocolate. Here is the random thought that came to my mind...

Candy is like sin. It's so good while we are enjoying it that our brain can't process what it is actually doing to our mind, body, & soul, until we have gained weight, have diabetes, or other health issues, or a broken family, lost friends, or end up behind bars.

So, why do we do the things that aren't good for us? We will pay for them in one way or another. Once we realize that it isn't worth it, the damage is done. So, we must plan to make choices that create a better image of Christ.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

I want to grow pretty for God as I rest in his goodness. I struggle for sure.
