Born to be Saved

Now this is what the Lord says—
the one who created you, Jacob,
and the one who formed you, Israel—
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name; you are mine. Isaiah 43:1

We are born to be saved. God created us so that we might turn to him for salvation through Jesus Christ. God knew how desperately I would hang on to his coattails throughout my life because he wired me to totally depend on him to make it through each day. It is by his mighty power that I boast of his goodness. I was called to believe...

For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

When we receive a gift, we are taught to respond with a thank you. A treasured gift, free, and how do we respond? In our gratitude, do we take time to thank God? Are we willing to seek and find? Are we givers of God's goodness, or are we takers only?

Ephesians 2:10, For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.

I laugh at myself when I believe I have a plan for my life. The Word clearly says ahead of time that he prepared our way for what we are to do. If it is planned already, we simply must look to him as our navigation system and uncover the holy blessings of his unveiling as we walk and talk with him.

I was born to be saved!

The birds of the sky live beside the springs; they make their voices heard among the foliage. Psalm 104:12

And he loves us more. Do we live in the springs of His Word? Are our voices heard?
