Little Things

Little things (to most people) affect me in big ways. Aspergers affects the way I react to any change in my schedule, getting behind in my tasks, not having time to prepare, being thrown into situations, surprises, or anything that interferes with my controlled being sends me spiraling. I have to work super hard internally to recalibrate. This can take seconds, minutes, days, or weeks.
I lost the little felt Christmas tree that hangs in my car that a dear friend gave me. This has made me sadder than sad. It was a really special little tree. Several other experiences threw me for a loop this weekend, but I am finally rebounding. I do not know how people who don't have the Holy Spirit of the Triune exist. The guidance of helping me walk through the fires of life, little and big, has always been my medicine.
Jesus loves his children. He tells us in scripture, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Mathew 11:28-30.
