Civility
Caught My Eye

Burdensome

In the world (to some), I am burdensome. I sense it, hear it in your words, and feel it in my spirit. Because I am wired differently, I have always shied away from those who ooze intolerance (and so often, these are the very ones God places in my day). God has a purpose and a plan for my life. He walks with me, talks with me, and tells me I am His. He is my salvation and my stronghold.

I find that people "talk" in the world instead of discovering who someone really is through God's eyes. I learn from every situation and ask God to teach me to be more like him. He sees good in me, and I am worthy of his love, incredible forgiveness, and grace. I want to partner with Christ in seeing and loving those the world marks as "unlovable." You know, the ones who people whisper about. God says, "Come."

God is the only reason we are here, living on planet Earth. Each day is his. Something so obvious that most miss is that our minds are created for worship and praise. Yes, we live in a sinful world, and we are sinners, but the remarkable healing power of God comes when we sing praise. We cannot sing praise and think about what worries us. When we praise our Lord and Savior, notice the absence of the evil one. Y'all, God wins!

I pray that God will allow our eyes to see the miracles he is performing so that we will witness the testimony of his great and mighty love.

Give thanks. Goodness and mercy are ours. I always go to the phrase; I have nothing fit for a king...except for a hallelujah. I know he loves to hear these from us. In life, we will have frustrations, but let's throw up our hands in praise instead of allowing the turmoil to get the better of us.

I am God's miracle, and you are, too.

(I do not own the rights to the music or lyrics, but the speak to generations)

everyone...

we are born of God

praise him for our birth

love others over self

be submissive and trust

obey, do not burden

have the tools to help others conquer

they will know we are Christians by our love

I have a friend in Jesus. I strive to be a friend to others when God calls me into their story. I love to listen to others' stories. I desire to pray for their struggles and watch God work his goodness to glory story in their lives as he opens doors for their testimony. It isn't about doing things to be seen (but a few will and Satan will try to step in))  but allowing God to use the vessel for his purpose of Salvation and to not worry about what the world might see, say, do, or think!

To wake up each new day still loving what you do is truly a gift from God. It is easy to put self in the equation, but when we are followers of Christ, this means joining him in his work with the people he places in our path. Life is not a gamble-game. It is Foundational, organized, and right on time—God's!

A sweet friend sent me some of his tickets from the restaurant he once worked in. Like so many, his life has had its share of struggles. When we struggle, we must learn and grow. There is a trust line that we must cross over and give everything to God. This is faith. He will use his children in ways they may never see or understand until years later. This young man has provided my life with worth and blessings. God shows up in the most unexpected places. Isn't God wonderful? Yes, He Is!

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of him. This is how we know that we love God’s children: when we love God and obey his commands. For this is what love for God is: to keep his commands. And his commands are not a burden, because everyone who has been born of God conquers the world. This is the victory that has conquered the world: our faith. 1 John 5:1-4
