Flawsome

I have insecurities. My face is like a battlefield. It bears scars from too much childhood sun exposure and skin cancer from a handful of times I spent in a tanning bed to warm my aching bones. Through the seasons of life, my derma has found itself sliced open repeatedly, frozen more than Elsa can imagine, and scraped deep enough to remove its pigmentation. Still, I am thankful for being alive through God's directive to medical teams caring for me.

I am enough. I know this in my heart, and the Word of God affirms it through my creation, but the world shows me a different picture. I try to stay focused on an attitude that embraces the word flawsome, a person who embraces their flaws and knows they are fantastic in spite of them, those who continuously encourage me, and the peace that God provides me even in my darkest moments of insecurity.
