Hope

I enjoy a plant-surrounded patio. In our climate of hot wind, little rain, and a lot of sunshine, it isn't easy to keep flowering blooms happy. A few years ago, I started adding succulents into the mix.

I have taken pieces of near-death plants and have watched them find a place to thrive. Sometimes, they appear never to change or grow even though the leaves look healthy.

This seems a lot like life. We have seasons where we just are. We forget how much we need the Son shining within our being. We hold onto things that keep us from growing, wondering why we are not sprouting new growth.

The essence of faith: knowing God is there when everything seems out of control, and we cannot shimmy-shake or find a way out. We don't see any hope or forward momentum. Take a long Living Water drink. This will clear the fog with Light...enough to guide us to where we need to be!

Hebrews 11:1: "Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see."
