Power

A few weeks ago, God placed in my heart the reminder that we gain power through choosing to submit. We read in Philippians 2:5-8 ...

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!

"When we humble ourselves in every situation, we gain power over every situation."

My challenge in this blog today is to show you how to create peace in situations that stem from feeling like others don't value you.

When you are driving, you have the power to let others enter the lane of traffic before you. If you are in line at a drive-thru, you can show kindness by letting someone into the line. You may also pay for the vehicle behind you. When you are out shopping, you can always hold the door for someone else to enter the big sale first, and don't forget to pick up trash as you walk and dispose of it inside a store. At the checkout, choose to let others go before you in line. These examples show us that when we decide to place others before us, we gain a peace-filled power!

Remember, we are just one worthy soul in a sea of beautiful sonshine!

Have a great week!!!
