Travel

Today was a beautiful day. I picked up our daughter's twirling coach, Jeanie Pennell, and we headed to Lubbock to have lunch with Lynda Gant, another twirler's mom. We all have July birthdays, so we had lunch and had a sweet time together at Lynda's beautiful new home. We are so blessed to have these times together.
One of the conversations today was on travel. We talked about the places that we would like to travel to. I said, "Honestly, the place I love to travel to most is our home with the door closed. It is our peace place." I do not desire to take big trips. I love that people do love to travel, and I enjoy their stories and pictures for sure. But, travel is not something that is a priority in our lives.
God blesses us so that we might bless others. It isn't the amount spent but the heeding to the call of ministry. I told this friend that I would rather stay home every day and be able to meet the needs that God sends our way. I am 100% blessed every single time. I had this opportunity today when we got home from the girls' birthday lunch trip. I did not travel far, but the love of God was present in the time, and yes, I was the one blessed.
God gives me tasks and the ability to carry them out. Y'all, God is a Mighty Good God!
HEBREWS 13:16, "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."
