Understanding

I was all set to write something on this topic:

questions + opinions = fear

... and God said, No. Instead, he led me to scriptures of understanding.

  • Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3
  • Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly. Proverbs 14:29
  • The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Proverbs 4:7
  • I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Psalm 32:8
  • A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart. Proverbs 21:12
  • So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18
  • I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. Ephesians 1:17
  • But test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22
  • The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119:130
  • As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9
  • For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 2 Corinthians 10:3
  • Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them. Proverbs 4:5
  • Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding. Proverbs 3:13
  • My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ. Colossians 2:2
  • For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 2:11
  • You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. Psalm 139:1-2

It is hard to remain quiet about so much, but keeping the beauty of God front and center always wins!
