Words

I go through phases where I have lots of thoughts but I am unable to express them. I just don't have words, well I do, but they are in a queue, and the whole thought process to expel them is not working. In these times I move inside myself and reflect, like a turtle in its shell. I pray you have these times and acknowledge them fully. Sometimes it is good to be the hare and sometimes we need to turtle it!

Cousins Christmas Concert

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, two birthday celebrations, and Christmas this weekend. Our entire clan gathered, and it was terrific to have the grand-sisters all together for fun days!

All one afternoon, they prepared a Cousins Christmas Concert. What a beautiful time it was!!!

1982

Sam Ramirez has been with High Plains Concrete since the Wall family took over on November 1, 1969, 52 years! He shared this 1982 clipping with me from the Plainview newspaper this week. Sam is still an integral part of the business today at eighty-three years of age. Thankful for Sam!

Be Real

"If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?" Galatians 2:11–14

We must not try to be someone we aren't. God created every single one of us, whether we believe and follow him or not. We are not them, and they are not us, but we must respect and appreciate others somewhere in the mix. To do this, there must be a strong foundation that propels. My foundation is attributed to the Trinity. I am a sinner redeemed through the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is my hope for today, tomorrow, and eternity. The loving grace of Jesus is my stronghold.

Through Great Love, I have found true peace & joy. I pray you, too, have this acceptance.

Be you. Be real. Give grace in thanksgiving!

Thankful

I've never doubted that God wired me uniquely for the plan He has for my life and that it is good because God is good. When I think about how my thought processor works, I am reminded to be thankful for God's provision and guidance in every situation. It is the Season of thankfulness, and boy am I grateful.

I'm thankful that I have Jesus who gets me through each day. Every day, I thank God for bringing me through another day successfully. But, it is the peace and joy that he allows me that keeps me balanced. He has taught me well.

I'm thankful for my family. I drive them cra-cra sometimes. Okay, maybe all of the time, but they are my greatest joys.

I'm thankful for each person that God places in my day. The realization that so much love has been awarded finds me in awe and keeps me smiling. You, my friend, are very important to me as I travel my earth journey.

I'm thankful for things like fresh water to drink, a really great steak, salsa and chips, hot water to soak in, toilet paper along with indoor plumbing, and books.

I am thankful for a mode of transportation other than walking, especially for long distances.

I'm thankful for a washer and dryer, clean sheets, a warm in the winter and cool in the summer home.

I'm thankful for dirt, flowers, sunshine, and the sound of the birds on a warm afternoon.

I'm thankful for a place to worship and for the technological ability to worship from home, too. Yay, for computers, phones, and devices.

I'm thankful for the ability to wrap my mind around something and do things I'm not equipped to do, but God is...

So very good to me.
