For sixty-three years, I have worshiped, learned, and praised my Lord and Savior in this place. We have been hearing about a larger table ministry, and I am reminded of the love this body of believers shows each other and their community. Knowing my God blessings!!!

Here we have a sweet picture of my mother, Lorena, and her younger sister, Virginia. They are out front playing at 1006 Nassau Street.
The car is amazing. I remember the two-story home as Judge Boyd's home. It had a different fence, a very tall painted blocks fence with glass pieces that lined the top. I'm not sure who built the fence. Still a lovely 11th street home today.
We spent lots of hours and days in this neighborhood growing up.

The Fieldhouse is one of our favorite places to dine. Through the years, I have enjoyed getting to know the staff that works here. They come and go, but each one impacts my life. This is a sweet crew, too!
I typically order a ham potato with jalapenos...or a side salad with ranch, no croutons or bread, and cheesy bread with fries. Yum!!! If you like chili, I've been told theirs is really good, too.

I saw a Robin today in our neighbor's yard, a sure sign that Spring is near. It was cold out, but the sun was shining. I got the layers of dirt the storm left cleaned off. It was a nice day to be outside.
May we find ourselves full of color when the world is so barren. Don't get caught in the tangled mess, but be sure if you do to seek God. He is everpresent!!!
Psalm 37 Of David. Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass, they will soon wither, like green plants, they will soon die away. Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret--it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land. A little while and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace. The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them, but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming. The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright. But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken. Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous. I have seen a wicked and ruthless man flourishing like a green tree in its native soil, but he soon passed away and was no more; though I looked for him, he could not be found. Consider the blameless, observe the upright; there is a future for the man of peace. But all sinners will be destroyed; the future of the wicked will be cut off. The salvation of the righteous comes from the LORD; he is their stronghold in time of trouble. The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them because they take refuge in him.
Cayenne is a shrub that originated in Central and South America and now grows in subtropical and tropical climates. Its hollow fruit grows into long pods that turn red, orange, or yellow when they ripen. It has great health benefits, but squirrels don't like it. Our friend, Carolyn Andrews, suggested that the "squirrel whisperer" who seems to have lost her touch, try this.
I don't recommend sprinkling this around your trees and your yard on a windy day. It is sneeze-worthy!

Last year, a classmate and friend mailed a box of Cardinals to me with a note saying she thought of me and knew I would enjoy finding a way to use them in our yard.
So, I'm waiting on the plant, but these are ready to add a pop of color. I'm not sure what our real Cardinals, Mr. and Mrs. Red, will think about this flock!
After months we made a trip to celebrate a birthday. Miss D had a birthday. She said it feels different to have entered double-digit birthdays. Little does she know that she will be 65 in the blink of an eye. We had a great but short visit with these grand sisters. We love them so!!!
Sometimes someone sits on our solar panel and blocks our sunshine. When our sunshine is blocked, we are unable to give off light. Hide it under a bushel? NO!
Negativity is one way Satan tries to discourage us from walking in the sunshine of our Savior. We need to be recharged by the Son to be the light of the world.
