I'm Thankful

I'm thankful for so much. Let me start with; I'm thankful for you. If you are in my life in person or online, or both, you are there for a purpose. Some try and knock others down, and I learn from them. There are those who are always encouraging, and I am encouraged by them. There are new friends and old friends who fuel my momentum to try and make it one more day as I do my thing, whatever it might be. I am in your life for a purpose, too. I don't hold this position lightly. I trust God in the weaving of my days.

Make new friends but keep the old; one is silver and the other gold.

I am thankful that I live in Plainview, Texas. This community has grown me up. In my sixty-five years, I have witnessed great change. I'm thankful for the change. I'm thankful for the foundational lessons learned, too.

Of course, I'm thankful for my family and God's design plan for each life. I call them mine, but they are God's on loan.

Every night when I place my head on my pillow, these words, Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. Thank you, Lord, for making me whole. Thank you, Lord, for giving to me, thy great Salvation so rich and free, plays in my mind.

Here are the full lyrics to this song...

Some thank the Lord for friends and home
For mercies sure and sweet
But I would praise Him for his grace
In prayer I would repeat

Refrain:
Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul
Thank you, Lord, for making me whole
Thank you, Lord, for giving to me
Thy great salvation so rich and free

Some thank Him for the flow’rs that grow
Some for the stars that shine
My heart is filled with joy and praise
Because I know He’s mine

Refrain:
Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul
Thank you, Lord, for making me whole
Thank you, Lord, for giving to me
Thy great salvation so rich and free

I trust in Him from day to day
I prove His saving grace
I’ll sing this song of praise to Him
Until I see His face

Refrain:
Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul
Thank you, Lord, for making me whole
Thank you, Lord, for giving to me
Thy great salvation so rich and free

I'm thankful for so much, and it has nothing to do with things. Things are nice but what I've learned is don't roll the dice and destroy lives. The thunder rolls, and the days get cold. Let the Sonshine in and make someone grin because you have the power over sin. His Name is Jesus. Let Him in.

I did, and I'm thankful. Give Peace a chance!
