Matthew 6:26, Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
God takes care of His creation. Sometimes, he uses me. Mr. Red clicks insistently at me to let me know it is time to feed him, and the Mrs. God is like that; he uses us in wonderful ways to see, reach out, touch and carry...and feed the birds.
As a Believer, a follower of Jesus Christ, we look at the birds in the sky, in our trees, in the bushes; they do not reap or gather into the barns and trust that the Father will provide their needs. Jesus tells his followers not to be anxious about food but to rely on God as the birds, who are worth far less than people and are fully provided for.
She is beautiful. When I look at the details of her creation, I am reminded just how miraculously we are created in love. I'm the one blessed by putting out food. I will, or someone else will. In drought, we can be helpers. In a flourish, there is plenty and we can sing praises of provision!
Matthew 25:40, The King will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
Philippians 2:4, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
James 2:14-17, What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Galatians 6:10, Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
We must take care of those that are placed in our lives. We must sense needs through our faith relationship that overflows from us into others.
John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
When we build relationships, God uses us to reach others.
What a blessed year we have had. God has allowed us to see Him on a deeper level. Yes, we have lost loved ones and been broken through many circumstances, but God is bigger. In 2021, I want to be used more by God, who created it all! It will be my choice to continue this habit of humble serving. I try, fall down, get back up; it's hard sometimes. I'm a sinner redeemed, covered with promise and Hope! God is good.
