Yes, I'm ready for summer! One day of 20 degrees is all I need to let me know that I am a fair-weather gal. We will be cold here all week, and I think we will have an interestingly cold winter. Not sure how it will show itself, but I'm ready to be outside again. I plant in March, and our flowers were loving the cooler days. I'm going to build a greenhouse!!! I feel bad that they are all frozen. Not nearly as bad as how I feel for children and the elderly who are cold. I pray we keep our hearts attuned to other's needs.
On an icy cold early morning, God allowed my eyes to see the beauty in every step.
Funny Mr. Red. He comes and clicks to tell me to feed him. I do; he stays right there with me until I place it in his presence. He is a happy and beautiful gift from God that reminds me that I am certainly blessed. Not everyone gets to enjoy a Mr. Red as I do. Mrs. Red is here, too. She comes and feeds, as well.
On a cold day, I stand at our kitchen window and watch the display of God's glory in the birds. We are warm; we have food, shelter, and water. I realize how very fortunate we are. God takes care of the birds. I like to think that he uses me to feed them when things are frozen. Feeling close to God and his beautiful gifts.
