Today, I got a message from one of the most amazing God-friends. This friend helped with an estate sale and came across a name that she knew belonged to me, Hugh Etter. She messaged and asked if I was interested. You bet, I'm on my way.
We are guessing that my grandfather, Hugh Etter, of Hugh R. Etter Electric & Refrigeration Service, gave these cards out as gifts to customers. They have beautiful coloring and feathered tails. I don't know anything more, but I am glad they made it home!
I was browsing online and noticed this painting was located at a local estate sale, a different one. I liked it, so I went to check it out. When I saw it, I knew it needed to be in our gallery. Juandell Wade, a pretty famous Sante Fe sculptor, painted this in her early artist days. I love the play of the lights on the canvas, the colors, the shadows, the festivity, and the quiet; it made it home.
