Prayer & Faithfulness

Prayer is the extension of our relationship with Jesus. It is our connectivity source to the Father. If we aren't praying, we aren't living the life God wants for us.

When we trust God with our concerns through prayer, he is the answer. We may suffer for a while, but he hears, knows, and delivers Godspeed.

Jesus is the bonding agent that holds societies together. When the "glue" is removed then the world begins to crumble. The same applies to our lives. Prayer is the act of being "set" to the Savior.

Will God find us faithful when he comes?

I do not own the lyrics or the music to this song.

In Proverbs 28:20 A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.

In our COVID-19 days, we are instructed to wash our hands often. It is important that we allow God to cleanse us spiritually through prayer and the reading of the Word.

  • "Be careful with your words. Once they're said, they can only be forgiven, not forgotten."
  • "Words scar more than you think."
  • "The tongue has no bones, but is strong enough to break a heart."

Anyone ever experience hurt over and over? Psalm 34:14 Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

We should always find ourselves in the Word in these situations.

Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Matthew 7:12 In everything, treat others as you would want them to treat you, for this fulfills the law and the prophets.

Reading God's Word makes us better people. It allows forgiveness. It gives strength. It creates compassion. It delivers love. It teaches respect. It offers redemption. It deepens the beauty & color of life.

Don't carry the shadow of hurt around. Lay it at the cross.

In June of 2018, we had cousin's camp and the Wall reunion in Ruidoso on the same weekend. Here is the TC Wall family that was present.

And the whole group...

We have lost several from this picture. Time is short. Enjoy and show kindness. Have a relationship with Jesus and pray. Do good through love.

Today we lost the man who always had a sweet smile for me. Through him, I am reminded of the value found in the Trinity, the foundation of faith, and my very being.

TC 2017

These cactus blooms are nothing compared to what TC is seeing today in his eternal home, but they serve as a reminder of how much God loves us through all he has created for us to enjoy here. I want you to understand that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit triune is God's plan for redemption for us all. There is room in the Kingdom for you. TC believed this.

TC, no spaces, no periods, stands for nothing, yet, he stood for everything holy. In his gentle way, he taught about life through a valued work ethic, determination, and honesty. For 47 years, he has been a mentor to me, Clinton, and our children, Aaron (Kelsey) and Chrissa (Brandon), and his eyes twinkled when he would see his "girls."

We certainly will miss this gentle giant.

Today, as we reflect on those who lost their lives to the service of our country, we should step back and humble ourselves before God who has allowed us breath for today. This very moment, you are alive, where you are, because of God's plan.

I want to thank the volunteers who sacrifice their time to mark the graves of our military servants, our Veterans, in peace, and in battle times, they serve.

My father, like many others, would not think themselves worthy of having a flag placed at their graveside, but this is what makes them heroes.

God does not need our opinion. He alone will make every knee bow. Our responsibility is to be the hands and feet of love to his people regardless of opinion. Who can stop the Lord Almighty? No one! Praise the Father. Praise the Son. Praise the Spirit. Three in one. God of Glory. King of Kings! Do you know Him?

As I age, it is my desire to be a flower of the Everlasting, old without loss of form or color. I want my life to be fragrant, never changing, and with the faith that withstands life, and carries me through all time. I want to not wither in my faith but bloom for the bountiful harvest. I want to be connected always to my life source, Breathe in. Breathe out. It is not promised. Live thankfully.

Book Reading

Here is a picture of my brother John Hugh Dayton. It would be four more years until I was born. This picture shows proof that he had a book. Neither of us were big readers growing up.

Here I am at about two years of age with a book.

Below is a sweet picture of our friend, Marie Anderson, with my brother and me. She "watched" us a lot! 54 to 61 042e

I'm pretty sure we did not have a lot of books in our home to read. I don't remember anything except a set of encyclopedias that were my brothers. I had a few color books. I did check out books from the First Baptist Church Library each Sunday and return it the next. I remember not enjoying reading in school. I'm so thankful for my love of reading for enjoyment now!

When I was a kid, I use to enjoy taking the cardboard kaleidoscopes, that I got as gifts, apart and putting them back together. We have a beautiful metal one that I enjoy today. I don't take it apart. I just look through it from time to time. I've always loved patterns.

Am I the only person who finds beauty in this?
