When I was a little girl, I spent a lot of time at 1006 Nassau Street in Plainview, Texas. 1003 Nassau Street is where I spent a significant amount of time, too, because Marie Anderson helped take care of me and my brother, John. Marie's mom, Clarice (we called her Anners), was a homemaker, and she loved me. Her father, D. J., worked at the mill, and he loved to tease me. I enjoy this memory of my 'little girl' early days.
