Tea Party

A growing up friend, Regina James Clark, reminded me that my mom always made finger sandwiches for the tea party she hosted for a few of my friends and me. She made finger sandwiches for the 300 plus guests at our wedding, too. She would use creme cheese mixed with pineapple or chicken salad with chopped pecans.

I'm pretty sure Regina was here. She must not have arrived yet or had to leave early. We still have this sweet rose tea set — L to R pictured, Vicky Cox, Debby Duncan, Phyllis, and Lisa Harder.

My dad made the table. I remember him cutting out the circle, screwing jar lids to it, and then screwing the jars into the lids that made the legs. A fun time!!!
