This morning as I looked outside, there was a bunny. It sat there and cleaned its mouth for a while. I thought this is the way we all need to start our day...cleaning our mouths! We certainly cannot control it on our own. We need God's guidance; the Holy Spirit's hopping happiness to healthy hearts.
Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”
1 Peter 3:10 “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.”
Proverbs 12:18 “There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.”
James 3:5 “So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire.”
We should take some time each day to think about the words we say. They are life-changers. Remembering that everything we do throughout the day is a choice, a battlefield of the mind between good and evil, choose good. Kindness matters. Encouraging matters.
