There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends. John 15:13
We preserve the memory of those who have served to protect, it's what we honor today.
On this day, we each step back and take a moment to reflect in appreciation to those who served to protect us, who fought with honor and have found their eternal home.
Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. Psalm 27:3-4
My sweet daddy did not serve for a long time, but he did serve our country.
Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 2:3
What he taught me in his life was that we do serve. We make a choice each moment of every day who we serve; as for me and my house, we serve the Lord.
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people. Proverbs 14:34
In our choices, we determine the end result of our earthly days. Today, I am reminded that our goal should remain steadfast in Him through the power and honor and glory forever, Amen.
In John 15:13, we read, There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends. Will we commit? Will we sacrifice? Will we encourage? Will we love? Will we honor? Will we bless & be blessed?
This Memorial Day, let's make a choice, to serve where we are. Don't be a taker, be a giver. Pay the ultimate price through sacrificial giving in the Name of Jesus Christ. We must align ourselves spiritually. For this is what will be remembered in our memorial moment. Live life fully serving until we are no longer; teach in action.
