Named Wonderful

One of my very favorite book sales finds has been the book Meditations for Men by Russell. God delivers some profound messages in its words.

As with gladness men of old

Did the guiding star behold;

As with joy they hailed its light,

Leading onward beaming bright;

So, most gracious Lord, may we

Evermore be led to thee.

Glitter God!

One thing that comes to my mind today is that I have the ability. It is innate.

How I choose to unveil this in my life is my choice.  I am in possession of the power, and I am capable. I may not be savoir-faire, but with God, it is the choice to open the heart that pleases him.

If we have the ability within us and the choice is ours, then with God all things truly are possible.

As I look at my life and the opportunities I have enjoyed, I choose to believe that my ability is God's to use and he brings me to it and through it.

I'm beyond blessed and thankful!

I mean seriously, God sprinkles glitter in our snow!!! How cool is this!!!

Accept It Or Not

Accept it or not, making people wait is disrespectful and bad customer service. I don't care what profession you are in if an appointment is made then the appointment time is when the clock begins for the consumer with the appointment. The consumer's time has equal value. This applies to all businesses.

It doesn't matter to the consumer how you schedule your appointments. A good business manager will be respectful to each consumer by being punctual.

Overall satisfaction drops the longer a person has to wait.  A businesses basic philosophy about their time and money; how much they value a consumer's time; and their ability to run a smooth and efficient office/practice is a conscious choice that each business makes.

A business/practice that doesn’t make you wait has made a philosophical and financial decision that it’s not right to make patients wait. They respect the consumer's time as much as they respect their own. They have a clear understanding of equality. These businesses are careful to schedule in "breathing time" for the moving of consumers in and out, scheduling pockets of time for extended need consumers or an emergency. They also believe in communication and its proactive influence on any situation.

I have seen businesses that have determined that their consumers are important. In fact, they understand that whatever their field of professionalism is, it would be nothing without their consumers, preferably happy consumers.

I have also witnessed businesses, more often than I would like, that have little or no respect for their consumers. They tend to ignore them, creating a sense of low esteem while making them sit for long periods of time waiting in an outer area and then the wait often continues in other more secluded rooms.

Philippians 2:3-4 Do nothing from rivalry or conceit but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others.

Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. Proverbs 16:3

Now, on the flip side, as consumers, we must be kind yet not afraid to reschedule when the wait is too long. Because we know it can be done doesn't mean that the business has made the conscious choice to do it.

If long waits bother you, go prepared with reading material. Grab the first appointment of the day or the first appointment after lunch. Call ahead and see how the day is going. Above all, find your happy place and share the love! Philippians 2:2 Complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.

Glasgow

Clinton's mother, Peggy, was a Glasgow. Here is a family picture of the Nellie & Ross Glasgow siblings, minus one.

Nellie and her children: Geraldine Glasgow, Lindel Lee Glasgow, Georgia Evelyne Glasgow, Leta Mae Glasgow, Jo Ellen Glasgow, Peggy Joyce Glasgow, Elsie Fay Glasgow (deceased), Gale Glasgow, Dale Glasgow, and Glenda Kaye Glasgow.

All these siblings are united in heaven except for Aunt Gale who God is still using here with us. I have been blessed through the years to know most of these siblings!!!
