They Came To Visit

Last night, at about dark, I was nudged to go fill a bird feeder for God's little birds that call our neighborhood home. With the cold, snow, and ice it would be good to leave them a treat.
Matthew 6:25-34
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."
God does not need me to feed them; the birds. What he needs is for me to listen and to be obedient to the Holy Spirit's nudging to care for his creation.
From the comfort of a warm home (blessed, so blessed) I watched through a screened and glassed window as the Sparrows fluffed, the squirrel gathered a seed or two, and she (the female Cardinal) came today to visit. She was there less than a second, but my eyes got to enjoy her beauty. What a gift I got today!!!
And, he stopped by, as well!!!
Fresh Find: I like this bird feeder!
