Just Talking in Type ...

This evening I turned onto 11th Street from Ennis on my way to bowling make-up night.  I looked to the south and saw this.  I had to turn around and snap a picture.  I wish I would of had more time to get a better shot.  The way its wings are wrapped reminds me of those evil bag-worms that I remember seeing as a youth on evergreen trees and bushes.

.

In the summer of 1969, Debbie Duncan [Ketchersid], Teresa Edwards, Janis Alexander [Cross] amd I were once again in Ruidoso, New Mexico for a few days with my mom.  I want those sandals I have on!!! ;o)

I'm still working on the grand-sisters photo journal website.  Slowly but surely getting there.  So far going good.  Loading pictures there is fairly simple.  Just lots to get loaded.  Once I get it up to date life will be grand. :O)  Maybe another month.

.

Doing some investigating.  I think that I may have come upon a cock fight arena last weekend.  Praying it isn't.

Lines ...

Scan0066
.

Yes, this is my grandfather who taught me how to screw in screws to where they all line up the same way in every screw project.  Yes sir, my screws all face north/south.

I notice there are no lines on my face in this picture.  Smooth as silk.  Stress does tend to age us...and I heard on TV that a hormone imbalance will do that, too. ;o)

I have that bolo that my grandfather is wearing in this picture.  I love the lines of a bolo.  They should be trending soon.

I always thought that when you crossed the line you won but I have learned in life that often times If you cross the line you lose.

The lines of my grandfather's glasses are "in" again now.

Well, lines are everywhere.  Just like hearing two ladies talking about party lines.  Young people would think it was a line they stand in to get into a party.  Older people will remember sharing the telephone line with several...thus the party.

Regardless...be checking out the lines!!!

Empty Tomb ...

This picture is one that I took today of snow that turned to ice figures.  I call it "Empty Tomb" because it reminds me of people coming to see that the tomb of Jesus was empty...just like it was foretold in the Old Testament and predicted by Jesus himself in the New Testament.

Matthew 16:21 "From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life."

Leviticus 5:1 says, "If anyone sins because they do not speak up when they hear a public charge to testify regarding something they have seen or learned about, they will be held responsible."

Have we ever just walked by an incident and not helped?  Have we ever sat and listened to someone say something that we know is false about someone and we don't stand up and voice that it is not true?  This scripture says we will be held responsible.

.

Proverbs 15:30 says, "Light in a messenger’s eyes brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones."

There are several things that I think about when I read this verse. The first thing I see is Light.  If the one bringing the message to us has the Light then we can rest assured that the message will be from the heart and worthy to hear.  It says they will deliver joy to the heartGood news that gives health to the bones.  In other words if we are the messenger and we have the Light then what we deliver will bring joy and good health to those we are brought before.

.

Proverbs 15:33 says. "Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the Lord, and humility comes before honor."

When I was younger I always thought that older people had wisdom.  I guess I thought that wisdom was something we got as we grew older.  I always said I wanted to one day have wisdom.  I always wondered when I would become wise.  Then I read the verse above and realized I have had wisdom for some time...or at least I was listening to wisdom's instruction.  I honestly believe that when we realize that humility comes before honor then we are truly blessed.  I like this scripture!!!

13 Years ...

.

It has been 13 years ago that this picture was taken.  On the left is Koltin, he graduated from high school in December.  In the center is Aaron, he is a great Unkie...our Aaron is! Next is Allen.  He was a foster child of Clinton's sister.  Such a precious child with deep rooted issues.  He and Anna, his sister.  I wonder where they are and what their lives are like today. Bill, their foster dad, is on the far right.  It takes a special called person to be a foster parent.  I want to thank those who foster that provide loving, fun, and caring homes.

Oh, and I do still love my shoe organizing I did a few years ago!

.

Maybe my new favorite scriptures!  He coulda but he didn't. This is love...

It wasn’t so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. It’s a wonder God didn’t lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah. Ephesians 2:1-6

Have an awesome week!!!

is the freshest, so you 'squeeze' for freshness or softness? Did you know that
bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week? Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each day has a different color twist tie.

They are:

Monday = Blue,

Tuesday = Green,

Thursday = Red

Friday = White

Saturday = Yellow.

So if today was Thursday, you would want red twist tie; not white which is
Fridays (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color Blue- Green
- Red - White - Yellow, Monday through Saturday. Very easy to remember. I
thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and the bread
wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the ones with the plastic clips
have different colors. You learn something new everyday! Enjoy fresh bread when
you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping.

Don't forget Gatorade for Migraine Headaches. PowerAde won't work.

.

Did you know that I have a challenge for us.  Let's try something.  I want us to say something nice/encouraging to 3 unsuspecting people every day for 7 days.  Did you know that it will make a difference??? It will!

Ocean ...

I stayed up way to late watching it rain, then sleet, then snow, then rain, then snow.  I decided to create a warm vision in my head so I turned the sound machine onto ocean.

I have said before that I rarely remember a dream and if I do it is typically a nightmare. So, the ocean waves are in my head and I am semi-awake and I start thinking about Noah and the ark and what the sound inside the ark must have been like.  With forty-days and forty nights of water beating against the boat he had made through God's plan.  I thought how great a builder he was to not have a major leak anywhere...of course God was prepared and had him, his family, and the animals protected.  Just an interesting little "dream."

Then sometime later the ship our class of 73 members was on had started taking on water.  It docked in front of the newly remodeled Plainview High School.  As several of us were walking away from the ship we passed by the parking garage as we walked down Quincy to the north.  It was pouring rain.  After we made that curve just past the bowling alley we stopped off at Wynette Amick's house.  While in her area we ran into Bruce McWilliams and talked for a sec.  Then we were off again as we made our way through neighborhoods.  There were lots of people walking along in the crowd with us.  Clinton was there and other guys I cannot put a face on but were from our class.  There were several more girls there, too.  I remember Ken Douglass and Jim Mock, from the crowd we walked with, because we couldn't find Belinda Howard and as we searched they stared at us like we were crazy. We had been talking and laughing and then she was missing.  We all frantically searched.   We found her and the laughing ensued.  Then up above was a huge black helicopter with its light beaming down in search mode.  They were looking for a young teen girl, supposedly in a gang, who had done some bad things.  I semi-woke up and decided this was going to turn into a nightmare, and I was ending it.

It was great to see you all!!!  Sorry the boat was sinking.  Glad you got to see the high school.  Sorry you got wet. It was fun!!!

Maybe I won't have the ocean on the sound machine anymore!  LOL

Today ...

I bought a new camera about a month ago.  I should say "we" bought a new camera because Clinton paid for it so I consider him a partner in what these eyes see.  Anyway.  I did not like the feel of the camera at all.  I decided to return it.  I don't usually do things like that.  I study things so much that I am pretty sure it is correct but this just wasn't.  I missed the mark.  It took good enough pictures...that part I was pleased with, I think.  So, today the next camera I ordered came in.  It is pretty much like what I had that was "off" from a fall.  I think I love this camera!  I tried it out this afternoon.

I absolutely LOVE the colors on this house.  I think they should just put a clearcoat over them so I can always see them.
