Fulfilled ...

Sunday as I was reading scripture the words fulfilled kept popping up off of the page. It got me to thinking. What is fulfilled? I guess when I think of fulfilled I think of something completed or done. Fulfilled means full, filled up to completion, too.
Isn't John 3:16 (“For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”) all about fulfilling the promise of God's love for us?
What wonderful news.
Acts 13:32-33 “And now we are here to bring you this Good News. The promise was made to our ancestors, and God has now fulfilled it for us, their descendants, by raising Jesus. This is what the second psalm says about Jesus: ‘You are my Son. Today I have become your Father."
He said he would and he did! He fulfilled; he filled up his words with truth... because he is the truth. When God says he will fulfill something, he will always fill it up completely.
We can't begin to promise things like God does. What we can do is strive to be Godly people with character. Someone that others find a place of peace, rest, and love because Jesus lives there.
