Beautiful little kids and those who loved them so much that they gave their lives to teach were taken from loved ones today in a senseless attack on an elementary school.
It is being tagged the hallway massacre. What comes to my mind is this; Psalm 31:9 "Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief."
We cannot understand the torment of the mind of the shooter or shooters. I am sad for the pain and emptiness he/they must have felt/feel. Their extended families are suffering so deeply today. God, be with them.
God, be glorified as the days unfold for the families of those who were gunned down today. Hold them especially close and be their healing hope.
Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."
Colossians 1:16,17 - "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist."
Psalm 73:28 - "But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, That I may tell of all Thy works."
God holds the answers to our world's problems. God holds the comfort for these families. God holds the direction we need to create change. He is our all in all.
My eyes are upon him in my grieving for lives lost today.
