Today lots of people were putting up their father's pictures on facebook and wishing them a happy Father's Day.  For many of us, we no longer have an earthly father.  Many find that sad and never quite get over their loss.  Oh, don't get me wrong.  I was sad when my dad passed away 17 years ago.  I think about him often.  I find comfort in knowing that he is not having to witness the suffering of so many in the world today.  I find joy in knowing where he is.  God showed me where he would be just a few years before he left us.  It is an amazing place.  Mostly it is amazing because of who he serves in heaven.

I do wish my daddy a Happy Heavenly Father's Day!!!

I find it wonderful how God blesses me.  He not only allowed me the years I had with my daddy, but he has also blessed us with a wonderful man named Robert who our grand-sisters love!  He loves them, too.  Yes, I wish my biological daddy knew his girls, but that isn't the plan for their lives.  Why would we ever rob them of the joy of being loved & loving someone else?  We can't.  Our Miss A was so excited to see Robert and her Nanny!

It is Father's Day week-end.  I wanted to share one of my favorite pictures of my dad.  He was helping build Kidsville play park here in Plainview.

I asked on Facebook if anyone ever felt like Job.  Several responded.  There are so many that have what seems to be the weight of the world on them.  It breaks my heart.  It weighs heavy on my soul. 

One thing I think we hear most often is to look around and see just how blessed we are.  We are told to not have our very own little pity party.  Get over it.  It is what it is.  Turn it over to God.  These are all easy things to say, but harder to realize when we are in the throws of despair.

There are times, I believe, when we just experience one traumatic thing after another, after another, after another.  I believe that He is before all things and in him all things hold together: Colossians 1:17.  If we don't have him as the ground between each tragedy, then we would not know to allow him to carry us over the bridge.

I don't consider being frustrated in the search for joy a pity party. I do think we all have pity parties from time to time though.  The kind of frustration, pain, trauma, I speak of is deeper.  It is rooted in faith. 

It is in us not knowing and relying on our God who does know that we find grace.  Grace so amazing.

There is a whole book in the Bible about Job's sufferings.  God has the verses, the story there for a reason. It is a story of a righteous man that God recognizes.  Satan does, as well.  Throughout there are those who try to get Job to just give up, give in.  He doesn't.  He questions God about why he has to suffer and God throws back not answers, but himself.  This is the wisdom that answers the question of suffering — not the answer to why I have to suffer in a particular way, in a particular time, and in a particular circumstance, but wherein does my hope rest in the midst of suffering.

He never leaves us nor forsakes us!  There is comfort there.  Sometimes it is really hard to see beyond our emotional tears, but God will show us the way.

“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”  John 9:3-5

Fresh Find: What a sweet pearl & heart necklace!!!

I had a sweet friend tell me this is what is called life.  There has not been a truer statement made since I accepted Christ as my Savior and he said he would not leave me nor forsake me. 

I live the life of Job some days.  I wrestle with the evil that attacks those I love.  I never once wrestle with God.  He is, HE IS!

Someone told me today to not be demanding.  I don't have the strength to place one foot in front of the other, yet they have no idea.  How could I possibly be demanding?

I want to live my life for Christ.  To do this I cannot allow Satan to get a foothold in my life.  I fight a constant battle.  This warrior is weary, but she also knows that God is her fortress & her strength.

When we come in contact with those God places in our path each day we honestly do not know their inner struggles.  It is so important to build a little Jesus bridge between us and them if only for a moment.

I will run the race.  I may get weary, I may bend, but I won't break.  I may lose it a time or two, but we'll get it together...my Jesus & me!!!

Do we ever really have enough time?  How do we spend our time?  I've been thinking about this.

Then, I have a question: How do cows know where to find water?  God created the animals in a way that they just know.  He created us with the desire to know him.  If a cow can find water why can some people not find Christ?  Do we ever really have enough time?  Just been thinking.

We made a little trip to see our sweet grand-sisters.  Miss A and her mommy were in a wedding.  Miss A let me know that my wrinkles are still there.  She just knew that facecream was going to take them away!  LOL I love her so much!!!  She was the band leader, directed the wedding, and played, played, played!

Miss D is talking more.  She says USHKA!!!  Yay!!!  She is such a sweetheart.  She watches her sister and soaks up everything like a sponge!!!

This reflection of light in the rain today looked like burning lava!

.

This morning I took our vehicle to get cleaned.  The location isn't far from our house, about a mile maybe.  There was a light sprinkle falling and I decided to walk home.  It felt so wonderful.  It started lightning above me and the sound of the thunder let me know it was getting closer. I prayed for God to protect me as I walked home.

The rain continued to be beautiful light drops.  As I stepped into the garage a huge bolt of lightning came down right in our driveway and the thunder was a deafening huge crack and pop.  Then the skies released a downpour.

I felt the presence of God and knew he was assuring me that he IS with me.  He watches over me.  God is so good! :O)

Fresh Find: If I had a pool I would want one of these! I have thought about getting one to warm my bones during the cold winter months :O)

I'm not sure why God leads me to notice interesting reflections, but I do get this blessing quite often.  I drove by one today and thought about not stopping.  Nope, turned around and snapped it...

The "V" is pretty cool!  We only see water reflections like this after an amazing cleansing of heavenly tear drops!  Beautiful rains we have had!!!
