Fresh Find: I want this pie maker! How awesome!!!
Well, things are messed up. I bought three pair of boots from the Salvation Army in Plainview. They are in two Walmart bags with three boots to a bag. I put them in the car. Now, they are nowhere to be found!!! The mystery of the lost cowboy boots!
I need them. I need to paint them. I need to find the paint first...no one has the color I want. That's just messed up! LOL
I need the lighted stems, too. No one has them. I'll have to order them. Now, that's just messed up!
I went to the doctor this morning in Lubbock at 8:30. I had to leave here by 7:30. I got there and they did not have me down. Guess I forgot to clear this appointment when they rescheduled. I'm just messed up! ;o) (she did see me anyway and was so nice)
The birds are pulling the peaches off of the tree and flying off with them. That is messed up, unless you are the bird loving the peach it picked!
I'm looking for a messed up fixer-upper. Anyone know where I can get one? LOL

This is my mother's father. He is wearing his artificial legs here. You can see he is carrying the tins with his good fingers. He taught me that regardless of our inabilities we can do whatever we want. We allow ourselves to find success if we want to! I later learned that it took God's strength, too. I learned so much from him :O)

This morning I walked the Hike & Bike Trail home from Joliet Street. After my little highway trip this afternoon I walked to United and back. On the way home I saw one of my "once upon a time" second graders. One of my favorites (hint: they all are favorites) she will enter the 7th grade next year. How can this be? It is true that time flies...whether we are having fun or not! LOL Anyway, this soon to be 7th grader (one of my favorites) will be graduating soon as in ...the blink of an eye! It is so fun to watch the kids grow up!!!

Picked some peaches today. They are small and there are lots. I almost have to pick them right before they get ripe to keep the birds & squirrels away from them. They are so good!!!

Still working on the Cotton Baron's Ball for the ACS here in Plainview. It is July 21st. We are going to have an awesome silent auction. :O)

I hope I get to sleep late tomorrow & have nothing to do :O) Well, I do need to clean the car out, get a fountain all packed for someone, pick some peaches, do some laundry, etc. I just like staying home, especially when it is over 100 degrees outside. Two things just wear me out...heat & going to Lubbock. ;o)

The way we write today we often tend to leave empty spaces. These empty spaces are often filled in by those reading the words with what their mind perceives to fit in the space. Our thoughts, the writer's, cease to be ours completely when we do this. When we aren't careful with our words and leave these mindless voids, outrage might occur. At the very least, what we think others might think is not the conclusion they imagine in their minds. Oops. I'm pretty bad at this. I often jump from here to there and expect those reading to build a bridge on their own. I apologize for that. I guess it pays to be a little crazy if you plan to read this blog. That way you can understand the full meaning of my empty spaces!!!

I took a picture of our first home back in Plainview after Clinton graduated from Tech. We were expecting our first child, a boy named Aaron. This house was in perfect condition for an old house. The blue on the right side under-hang is a remnant of the blue trim that included the shutters, too. I loved our first little house!!! The yard was manicured and the back yard was big and open. It had the old metal cabinets and they were still pristine. The rooms were bright and light filled. The closets were big and it had a utility room to boot! We had nothing then as far as furniture and things. When I look back on this old house and the memories made there, I have happy thoughts :O)

"If any clothing is contaminated with mildew--any woolen or linen clothing, any woven or knitted material of linen or wool, any leather or anything made of leather and if the contamination in the clothing, or leather, or woven or knitted material, or any leather article, is greenish or reddish, it is a spreading mildew and must be shown to the priest. The priest is to examine the mildew and isolate the affected article for seven days. On the seventh day he is to examine it, and if the mildew has spread in the clothing, or the woven or knitted material, or the leather, whatever its use, it is a destructive mildew; the article is unclean. He must burn up the clothing, or the woven or knitted material of wool or linen, or any leather article that has the contamination in it, because the mildew is destructive; the article must be burned up. "But if, when the priest examines it, the mildew has not spread in the clothing, or the woven or knitted material, or the leather article, he shall order that the contaminated article be washed. Then he is to isolate it for another seven days. After the affected article has been washed, the priest is to examine it, and if the mildew has not changed its appearance, even though it has not spread, it is unclean. Burn it with fire, whether the mildew has affected one side or the other. If, when the priest examines it, the mildew has faded after the article has been washed, he is to tear the contaminated part out of the clothing, or the leather, or the woven or knitted material. But if it reappears in the clothing, or in the woven or knitted material, or in the leather article, it is spreading, and whatever has the mildew must be burned with fire. The clothing, or the woven or knitted material, or any leather article that has been washed and is rid of the mildew, must be washed again, and it will be clean." These are the regulations concerning contamination by mildew in woolen or linen clothing, woven or knitted material, or any leather article, for pronouncing them clean or unclean."

As I was reading these verses in Leviticus it made me think about sin in our lives. Sin is like mildew. It destroys where it is and then spreads to other parts. It eventually will take our joy if we aren't cleansed through prayer from the Father in forgiveness. The Word says...once it is clean to wash it again. We must present and be washed of our sin through him who is able to cleanse our soul.

Well, you know I would never have made it to a deserted island because this would mean I would have to cross a large body of water with no land in site.
