I can tell you that tomorrow is Friday, but I can't tell you how I got from last Friday to tomorrow!  LOL  Staying at a hospital with a loved one is a blur.  I'm not sure how "hospital time" could ever be in the race for being described as a blur, but somehow the days mesh together and before you know it time has past that you cannot even remember existed.  From this moment to the next week blurs across the horizon of life.  Just a weird, weird, life lesson that I'm not likin' too good.  ;o)

The word memorial is defined as preserving the memory.  That sums up our lives.  Everything is a memory once it occurs.  I think to memorialize important life changing moments in history is necessary.  Our society lives such crazy busy, self-centered lives, and it is important to stop the wheels on the bus from time to time to remind us of how we got to where we are.

We may whine and moan about all of the "Hallmark Holidays," but they really are important days for us to think about.  They ground us, bring us back to a place of reality.  Sometimes with cheerful hearts and sometimes with sad hearts, but to a place of reflection.  What we do with the face in the mirror then is our footprint on the world.

Fresh Find: This is a great top!

It is crazy how quickly our lives can change.  I love change for creative purposes, but I do not deal well with change in my personal life.  This month has been a changing month.  Just crazy. 

The Lord and I have always close.  There is always room for a closer relationship no matter where we are in our faith walk.

Whatever comes my way I am reminded of the song that says, I might bend, but I won't break.  I've thought I might lately, but God has given me strength to make it through each day...minute by minute.

Fresh Find:  What a fun summer table linen decor idea!!!

I'm a little frustrated.  I don't do well when things aren't going the way I would like.  Take last night.  I DVR'd the American Idol series.  I watched it every week.  Last night I sit down to watch the finale.  (I voted 50 times for Philip Phillips and picked him from day one as my winner) The DVR of 05/23/2012 was just a black screen.  It showed I had viewed it, I had not, it just went to a black screen.  Had to find out the winner on facebook! ;o(

All of my comments yesterday were gone from facebook.  I wasn't the only one, but we will be expecting a fb change soon because sumthins up!

Today, I write this little devotional about grains of sand.  The program shuts down.  Gone, just like that!  Guess that thought was not supposed to be shared!  LOL

My mother could not get into the doctor last week and had to wait a full 5 days and I'm a little frustrated with that.  When a patient is ill they need to be seen.  I guess this is why so many are just skipping the doctor's offices and going to the ER for everything.  She may have to have emergency surgery tomorrow. 

The great thing about frustration is we decide what to do with it.  I'm going out to water the flowers!  See God's beauty all around.  That will fix it!

I don't like to be really busy, although the busier I am the more I can get done.  I have noticed in my life that God places me in a really busy situation when I'm in a valley of sorts. 

I love to see God at work in my life.  I don't enjoy valleys but, without the valleys my faith would not be where it is today. 

When we carry a heavy load of pain or sorrow or whatever it might be that weighs us down...God is there.

Isaiah 41:10 ... So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

1 Chronicles 16:11 ... Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

Exodus 15:2 ... The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

Philippians 4:13 ... I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Psalm 18:32-34 ... It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

I was humbled when I found out that I had been chosen by one of our sweet youth at FBC as their mentor.  I can't describe how I feel so unworthy of such a calling.  I am blessed and know that God is at work in me and her.  Her sweet words they read I could have never imagined about myself.  God is at work! 

I pray that God allows me to serve with him and him through me. I miss it sometimes, but he is always faithful! 

There is a little "goldie" girl that called me "oldie" when she was tiny, thus her nickname and mine.  It is a sweet, sweet bond.  Thank you Emily! I'm humbled!
