I did not, will not, have not, watched the Royal Wedding.  I'm not sure why, but I felt led not to.  Many did and say it was lovely.  I've seen a few pictures and, as with every happy bride, she looked beautiful.

Several of our friend's children are getting married.  What a wonderful time for them.  I just love the excitement in their eyes and voice when we talk!  The only things that beats it is when babies are born! :O)

A wedding is a commitment exchange.  I am here for you and you for me.

I love this picture of Clinton's Wall grandparents with us on our wedding day. My dress is every bit as beautiful as the Royal Kate's and it only cost a couple hundred dollars to buy the fabric, notions, and have a seamstress to make it!  LOL

Today I worked the lunch shift at the West Texas Woodfire Grill because the bosses were at a convention type thing in Amarillo.  Why yes, it WAS Administrative Assistant's Day and the place was completely full.  Yeah!  It did get crazy since I had forgotten all my hostessing skills!  LOL  Needless to say...this old lady was tired!  It wasn't bad...I just pray I didn't make tooooooooooooo many mistakes!  LOL

American Idol is getting down to the last few weeks.  It is my one show to watch and I like to watch it as it happens, commercials and all. ;o)  So, that's the plan and I do hope this week is better than last week.  It was just not a great performance week overall.

I'm a pretty much things are black or white person.  I know, I know...there is gray, but I just find it hard to exist there.  Right or wrong!  LOL

I sure miss having all of our family together on holidays.  When they grow up and have lives of their own you find that it doesn't happen nearly as often as it once did!

In the book of John, chapter 20, verses 15-18 we read:

I see him in the rebirth of those being saved...what joy my eyes see.  I see him in the nature of the universe that he allows my eyes to see.  I feel his love for me.

Sometimes life is cut too short for some people.  We don't understand why some die earlier than others.  It isn't for us to understand, but it is for us a time to seek the face of Jesus.

Eddie Farris went to be with the Lord yesterday.  He was a part of our family, via my cousin Vicky, for many years.  We spent many a holiday together. In this picture we find Eddie's nephew, Derrick, his son Michael, and his best friend Vicky.

I haven't seen Eddie in several years now, but have kept up with him and talked to him through facebook. Through facebook I have also been blessed to get to know one of his sisters, Sandy. 

When I visited Eddie's facebook page about the time of his death I found one of his quotes there very meaningful. 

"I'm pretty sure I am tired but I have lots of work to do today so will have to take a look at that later."  The illnesses that were overtaking his body were making it hard to continue...he was tired!

Another quote on his page: "How do you write about yourself? If you know me then you already know about me. See have fun."

Eddie was fun.  He always livened up our gatherings.  He had a heart of gold and was always willing to do whatever needed to be done for others. 

Life is often cut too short...we never know when our last breath will be.  Are we ready?
