I'm not one that is much into trickery.  I don't like surprises either.  I saw this deal where you color the milk...now that might be funny, but a blue mouth would not be so much! 

What if you wake everyone up and get them breakfast and send them on their way...but it is 3 AM and there is a big sign in the car that says, "April Fools"???

OR...you can super glue some coins on the pavement and watch people try to pick them up!!!

See how mean these are!  I have an idea.. Why don't we all just say, It is April Fools Day and I want to wish you a happy first day of April!!!  Let's pray for rain together!!!

Fresh Find today is this pretty cool Kleenex holder.  It would look especially nice on an office desk.

Yesterday my nose got pretty sunburned.  I am really suppose to stay out of the sun because of skin cancer issues.  This cannot be good.  It is already pealing.  I am going to be more careful from now on.  I want to remind everyone to take care of your skin and protect it from the sun this summer.  I did have on a very high SPF sunscreen, too.  Oops, that didn't work too well OR it worked and could of been worse!!!

I came across these thinly sliced apples covered in chocolate.  Therefore, I'm sharing this as my Fresh Find today...yummy!  Not sure why they are called Key Lime Apples though, but oh well, they sure look good!!!

When I was leaving this morning, this HUGE Jackrabbit was in our neighbor's yard.  I guess all the people in the park this morning scared him off.  I altered 2 of the pictures in Adobe just for fun!!!

I got to see so many wonderful things today.  God blessed me beyond measure.  I was allowed the opportunity to share my faith, saw all kinds of really nice people from all walks of life, witnessed answered prayer BEFORE my eyes and enjoyed all the nature that God created!!!

Took my mom & Clara to Lubbock today.  We all had errands.  Left at 9 got home at 6.  Yes, I'm pooped!!!  Bought 3 pair of shoes at the new DSW store out by the newer Target.  Found a great pair at Naturalizer on sale.  So 4 pair.  All very reasonable.  Looked for a summer handbag & found nothing.  We ate at the "rocking chairs on the porch" place.  Had some tasty chicken salad on toasted sourdough whole wheat bread, yummy!!!  Pretty much just drove all around Lubbock.  We had a nice time, but now I know why I love Plainview!!!

Today I scalped the yard including the alley.  Such a dirty job.  Looks better though!  Glad to have that done.  I wear protective glasses and one of those nose & mouth cover thingies.  It did not work too well though because I still had dirt in my nose!  I hate that, too.  Gives me a headache.  Of course, it would be much worse without it.  Anyway, I'm pumped for a green yard & flowering plants.  How about you?  I'm thinking on a new lawnmower.  What would you suggest?  Not a riding one.  I want a self-propelled-key start-push mower that is light as air.

I came across these shoes today & they are my Fresh Find today.  I absolutely think the finish on these are fabulous & the lines are amazing.  Stuart Weitzman has beautiful shoes.  When I was in the shoe business years ago SW was a wonderful designer brand and they are still right up there with the best today.

Fresh Find today...are these wonderful party food picks.

I have been thinking lately about this.  Is it really important?  I like to think sometimes that God is in his realm of glory and along with a few thousand angels is looking down at us.  What he sees are ants.  Yes, ants!  We must look like that here in America.  We are so busy going from here to there and everywhere that we rarely stop to enjoy all that he created.  You know how ants stay right on that trail...and they do not like to be detoured.  Is that how we are?  Is what we are doing so important that we can't just chill?  I know, the only way things will get done is if someone steps up and does them.  20% do all the work while 80% complain.  I made that up, but I bet it is close to the truth.  I think we have to be sure our priorities are in place.  If we have God first, family second and everything else after, then we have a better chance of really enjoying life.  I try really hard to balance my life to be able to see all the tiniest of blessings that God places before me every day.  When I am asked to do something , I'm going to ask...is it really important?

Style ALERT!!!  Fresh Find, Fresh Find!!! Look what is "in" for Spring.  These great big jeweled bracelets.  These are 915.00, but I bet "It's a Girl Thing" here in Plainview will have them for lots less!!! They are the place to go for "trendy"...great shop!

At the end of summer I moved the Hibiscus tree from the front porch into the sun room.  Not knowing if it would live or if it did, I did not think it would bloom.  It did!!!  Both!!!  Just in time to go back on the front porch for the spring & summer!!!  Here are the pictures:

I am amazed with pop-up books.  The intricate work in these books causes the same wonderment that Disney World does to me.  I came across this new one today, ABC-3D, and it is my Fresh Find because I think everyone needs at least one pop-up "read" in their book collection.

Today we read from Titus 3:3-7

At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

I love this scripture.  Not your typical Easter Service scripture, but I believe a most fitting one!

Phil & Carolyn Carpenter shared their testimony of their son's bone marrow transplant & how God sent the perfect donor.  It was a riveting testimony!

Travis then shared how we all have the opportunity for the life saving Transplant through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as our savior.

A wonderful worship time! 

When we came out of worship God blessed us with a light drizzle.  A beautiful sight.

Please pray for the Daniel family.  Their Linda enjoyed her Easter Sunday in the presence of God.  The things that I remember most about Linda are: her faith, her love of her family, how many hours she gave to the youth of FBC, her kindness, her perseverance, her organizational skills...on and on I could go.  Linda, I will miss your presence!

...to Kayci & Chad Smith.  Mr. & Mrs. Ketcher-Smith for the past year...or at least we teased them with that.  One thing that will be nice for Kayci is that her last name is now much shorter.  Ketchersid to Smith.  Everything was just beautiful.  It was at the Tech football stadium suites and it all was lovely.  Cute kids in the wedding, nice families, nice guests...speaking of, in my estimation there were close to 300 people who attended!  Congrats to the new couple and for the parents...get some rest!!!  You deserve it!!!
