R.C. Ware Hardware was established at what was once the intersection of Pacific (Broadway) and Main (Sixth Street) in 1889. A year later, J.N. Donohoo arrived in town and he quickly entered into partnership with R.C. Ware to operate the Donohoo-Ware Hardware Store at that location, later becoming the Donohoo Hardware Company.

Men of the New Millennium was contributed to the Hale County Historical Commission by the Garms-Thompson family. This was a fundraiser for the Plainview High School Class of 2000. A fun year of 2000 calendar project. Do you recognize anyone?
Hale County, Texas, has had three courthouses. Pictured is the second one. It was located in the same block location as the current and third courthouse.
We want to welcome two new businesses that will be in this building on 5th Street, just west of Lloyd Woods Park.
On Friday, two longtime Plainview businesses will reopen after unexpected and temporary closures. One from losing their business roof to the hurriboob we had a month or so ago. The other business, Old Mexico Restaurant, has been closed, grieving the loss of losing a loved one. We have prayed.
The Haven has a new secure roof thanks to Dickerson Roofing.
