There has been lots of working noise coming from the Running Water Draw Regional Park (aka Kidsville) with the ballpark improvements. It sure looks different already!

Here is what is left of the water slide at Family Fun Park on 5th Street in Plainview, Texas. Lots of fun summer memories. Now, Plainview has the Aquatics Center for summer water fun!

 

 

Super Smiles

 

Super Smiles has deeply invested in the Plainview community with the complete remodel of their 2615 24th Street building. It is not completed, but look at where they are so far. It looks fabulous!!! Thank you, Super Smiles, for creating architectural beauty in the neighborhood!!!

A 1941 photo of Bee Kidd and Wayne Nicholson, winners of the Food Bowl Championship Classic. Have you heard of this? Tell us more! This looks like it might be a bowlers trophy. Is this in front of the old bowling alley on Broadway? Hmmm...got me thinking!

Late 1960

 

A wonderful postcard of First Baptist Church Plainview from the late 1960s to early 70s. The Methodist Church still stood on the corner of 7th and Baltimore Streets. Arch Keys Floral was just west of the church on 7th. Now, the FB FLC stands on the corner, and the FB pavilion is just west. Through the years, things have changed.
