The Plainview Noon Lions Club was giving back to the community of Plainview, Texas, this Saturday morning, the community that provides for us all an excellent quality of life. It was clean-up day for the trash from the off-ramp areas of I-27 and Highway 70. The Lions take care of this area, and as a community member, I want to say a HUGE thank you!!! It matters so much. After the winds we have been having, it was a great morning to get the trash that has blown in and dropped there picked up. Remember, keep Plainview beautiful, don't litter!!!

This morning, an awareness event sponsored by the Crisis Center of the Plains, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, was held in downtown Plainview. This event started in 2001and draws awareness for men, women, and their families worldwide to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence. It is a dramatic opportunity to raise awareness in our community about the serious causes, effects, and remediations of men's sexualized violence.
