Look, it is another new business! So proud of Nancy Phan and her family. They are a beautiful example of coming to America and living the dream. Such a beautiful story of citizenships, voting, paying taxes, creating their vision through U.S. Nail, and now, a new location located just west of Harbor Freight.
The dark clouds and smoke hung around Downtown Plainview this afternoon. Thank you to the firefighters and first responders that contained this fire in the strong winds today. This fire was south of Spann Road and east of Date Street.
Once located at 9th and Broadway Streets, the City Auditorium, if we had all of the stories those walls could tell.

We find ourselves once again needing an auditorium/events center, especially for athletic and show events.
The Christmas trees are at the Hale County Courthouse, where there is new holiday uplighting, and the poles are wrapped with lighted garland. We had the very best Downtown Plainview Open House this past weekend. What fun times!

Tis the season for the Downtown Plainview Open House. 2nd Saturday #outonthedowntown November 13th. The Winter Wonderland lighted window contest was judged this evening. The winners will be announced at 6:00 PM along with the lighting of Downtown Plainview on Saturday, November 13th to kick off the Season! Be sure and come downtown to support our small businesses this Christmas Season!
It was the groundbreaking event for Lamesa (South Elementary campus) today. Getting a new school is an exciting time for all of our students in PISD and partners well with the growth happening throughout our community.
We will have three elementary campuses that will continue to offer our students a quality education with campuses designed and equipped for today's learning needs. Thunderbird (North Elementary campus), College Hill (Central Elementary campus), and LaMesa (South Elementary campus) are each strategically placed throughout the community.
This groundbreaking is the final elementary campus to have their groundbreaking event. It was an exciting time for the children (and adults).

This evening the Plainview Chamber of Commerce had a ribbon-cutting for the new city hall open house event. It was well attended with plenty of dignitaries on hand and a lovely group from the community. The city hall is beautifully designed and fitted. We are a blessed community. Together we can!
The gift mugs are beautiful. This mug will be in the Plainview vintage collection until it is vintage!
