I am a vintage Plainview "addict." I enjoy collecting for the Plainview Collection old Plainview/Hale County postcards, tokens, advertising memorabilia; anything historic Plainview/Hale County.

I came across this little jewel. If you have these items or come across them at sales, we will add them to the collection.

 

 

Gifted

 

This wonderful piece of Plainview history was gifted to the Plainview collection. It is a great study done many years ago. "Pioneer Square" is what they suggested calling the courthouse square. Always fun to view others' ideas.

Paper Goods

 

Every once in a while, we come across some "paper goods" that are vintage fun, like this 1936 Westerners vs. Bulldogs football program. It has autographs of the Lubbock Westerners, but it does show the Bulldog team and coaches. We lost 38-0; it looks like.

 

 

 

And then there is this 1957 West Toy & Gift Shop, "Santa's Own Toy Book."  It is fun to see where things were located, and those CA phone numbers are still cool to view!

 

Plainview Collection

 

We were given a few more items for the Plainview, Texas, Collection. Pictured is the Hale county Bicentennial coin.

 

 

 

Here we see the 50th-anniversary key ring for Hale County State Bank.
