I enjoy very much watching Plainview's kids grow up. Brennen LeFevre is one of those kids that I have known his whole life. Actually, I've known him and his sisters their whole lives. Brennen is one of those kids that stood out to me because of his energy. I was always asking him if he knew where he was supposed to be. He always said, "yes," as he ran past me to where he was going. His sister, Brianne, gets the photo credit for the picture below, but his sweet momma, Michele, shared the picture with me. Brennen is married and soon going to be a daddy. He is an engineer for Xcel Energy, with his home base being in Amarillo, Texas.
We hear lots of doubt-talk about this "new" generation, but it is a good one. We have many outstanding kids with diverse interests that were raised and educated here. Each year we have a new batch of achievers. Some stay here and follow their passion, and some move away. Many that move away return to their roots. It's all good if Plainview had a hand in it. I'm always excited for young people to love what they do and have a passion for blessing others as they travel their life journey.
The old generations have their history. The new generations are making their history, too. Look at this early (11.29.1909) Plainview postcard. Most of our new generations have no clue what a postcard is.
Great comparision new and old.
