Plainview has a rich history. It goes back to the late 1800s. There are records, historical records, that we must preserve. Each record book costs about 3,000.00 to preserve and copy for public use. There are lots of books waiting for attention. I viewed a book, and in each book is the recording from the lives of those who came before us here, with vision, grit, and hope, for a vibrant and successful business venture that provided for the family. They were pioneers, like us, lighting the way.
The Hale County Historical Commission addresses our historical archived documents and their value to our county, city, and community.
