I will be the first to say that I am not a notables fan, sports or otherwise. Plainview students from PHS, PCHS, Wayland, and SPC/Plainview have graduated and have gone on to do amazing things with their education and life from all they absorbed through living here. Many stay in Plainview and do great things; many return here and have much success. Others, around the globe, are linked to Plainview and enjoy a good life.
I like to believe being a Plainview "notable" is acquired at birth in Plainview, Texas. It is an extraordinary person who can claim Plainview, Texas, as their birthplace. There is also a place for those who move into Plainview and "get it" right off and understand that the success of this place, that we call home, is found in its people. Our people are what drives us through the generations as a city of notables. All are important to who we are and what we desire to become.
If you live or lived in Plainview, you are a Plainview notable.
