It's how we see it that determines pretty or ugly, sad or happy, good or bad...you know what I mean. It is our attitude of gratitude that creates a pride within us that carries over into everything we do.
It doesn't matter if we live in what someone describes as the slum, the projects, this side or that side, we have the power within us to show our pride through the creation of beauty in where we are, what we do have, wherever we are right now. Own or rent, it does not matter. Where we live is ours to keep. To keep it cleaned, groomed, and eye pleasing is our responsibility to our community.
This home caught my eye this morning. Actually, there were three right together that spoke pride in who they are and what they represent. Homes like this do not go unnoticed. I actually think they should get a beautiful home of the week award!!!
Some may find things like this not as attractive as mountains or wildflowers, but I love this landscape!
From the earliest days of the first pioneers in Plainview, one thread that has carried through time is pride in who we are and where we have chosen to homestead. Beauty is everywhere. Let's continue to build on this thread and the weaving of the legacy we leave.
