Do you remember the Hale County Jail being in the building at the corners of Ash and 6th Streets? See those little windows? They had bars and the inmates could open them to get fresh air. We've come a long way, baby!

I remember spending the night there one night in about 1964 before going to a foster home! Wish I knew the name of those nice people who took us in!!
