The Plainview Chamber of Commerce has a group called, Ambassadors. It is similar to the Red Coats of vintage days ago. They are a group that represents the Chamber to the community. Today they met and as I sat and listened to Hari Krishna, owner of the Comfort Suites, tell his story of how he chose Plainview over many communities, including Los Angeles, California, I was reminded that we do have a choice in where we live. We should live in a place that we will call home.
We should support the community that we call home by becoming involved in organizations that are key players in getting things done in all aspects of community life. It isn't about what the community can do for me. It is all about, all about that bass!
It is all about that bass, that bass, and a little treble! You know; bass, the lowest part of the harmony. It is about everyone doing their part from where they are to accomplish the music of a community.
Representing the community in which we live should be on the top of the list of things we should be doing when we prioritize our lives. Where we live will only be as good as where we volunteer.
I feel that Plainview has a big beautiful fluffy cloud with the sun rays shining all around it at this time in history. I love silver linings!!!
I believe we are all ambassadors for our community. Viva Plainview!
