Maybe...

"Maybe it is not holding a 'grudge', but healing." 

Forgiveness comes easy, it is in the forgetting that we struggle.  I believe that as followers of Christ we know that we are to forgive as Christ forgives us.

Ephesians 4:32 ESV Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

We all heal differently.  Who is to say that it takes this much time or that?  Only God can walk us through our trials. It is in knowing to turn our every need over to him that allows the process to begin and completed.

James 1:2-4 ESV Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

It is a joy to come through the trials in our lives having built a stronger relationship with God.  It is in the healing that we draw close and then are able to release his love and light in the end...for his glory! It is a comfort to know that he is steadfast and ready to grow us.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17

Others cannot know our hearts and they may think that those in the midst of a trial are holding a 'grudge' against someone or maybe life in general, but maybe they are healing, too.  When we hurt we tend to draw closer to God, to be still and listen to God for direction as we heal.  It is a process and God is in control. 

We need to be sensitive to others and why they respond the way that they do life's situations. God is good! He delivers!  What we do with the outcome should praise his name.
