Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10
You know what I love about this verse? Well, I'll tell you...my version, how I see it.
Let's say you are a the CEO of the biggest business in said city. You have a corner office with an expansive view of the city and the street below that includes the entry to your "kingdom." You are in control, everyone knows it. Every day those who believe in you rush up to the door that allows them into the center of your world and they fight over who gets in first, who gets the customers that lead to the bonus, etc. They fight over impressing, they fight over their space, and they fight just to be fighting doing what they think will please you.
You are watching from your vast panoramic view, knowing that all their silliness does not change the fact that it is YOUR kingdom. It doesn't matter what they do or that they are trying to impress you, because the only way to enter the kingdom is through your son who is the doorman.
You chuckle just thinking how they are so busy trying to please you that they have forgotten to fear you. They just need to stop doing all that annoying acting and remember who you are! They must prostrate themselves, accept and proclaim.
